Sophie Baran, the General Partner & CEO of Bare Capital, brings a wealth of experience to the table. With over 20 years in the real estate and finance sectors in Alberta, she has successfully managed operating budgets, completed substantial transactions, and overseen numerous real estate projects. Over her career she has led the development of hundreds of acres of raw land, managed over $300M in capital expenditures, and led complex negotiations through to accretive deal structures. Sophie has an MBA and CPA designation.

With several years of experience in land and real estate development, she has a solid understanding of project development from inception to lease up. Mackenzie focuses on clear, transparent communication and ensures that all stakeholders are well-informed. Her role involves presenting financial strategies and market insights, contributing to the firm's growth and investor confidence.
